Diamonds International: Maintaining the Legacy of Sport and Giving Back to Barbados
At Diamonds International, our passion for giving back goes beyond business — it's about enriching the lives of all Barbadians.
For over two decades, we have proudly supported charitable initiatives through our longstanding involvement in sports such as polo, horse racing, and golf. These platforms not only promote excellence and national pride, but also allow us to contribute meaningfully to causes that uplift communities across the island.
In the past five years, our commitment has grown even stronger. From cricket to our recent investment in surfing, we continue to support activities that inspire, empower, and unite Barbadians — helping to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
Diamonds International is proud to have been recognised at the prestigious National Sports Council 2024 Awards, receiving special acknowledgement for its longstanding contribution to sports development and community building in Barbados.
The recognition underscores Diamonds International’s unwavering support for some of the island’s most significant sporting and charitable events, including the internationally acclaimed Barbados Surf Pro, the historic Boxing Day at the Races, the Diamonds International Rotary West Golf Classic, and the Substance Abuse Foundation Charity Golf Tournament.
These events not only provide a platform for athletes to excel but also bring communities together, stimulate economic activity, and position Barbados as a premier destination for world-class sporting events.
Beyond the competition, the company’s involvement reflects a broader philosophy of community building, recognising that sports play a vital role in fostering unity, promoting healthy lifestyles, and inspiring young people across the island.
